Heather Rokeh and Michelle Salfer, co-owners of Graceful Marilyn Quilt Shoppe, are sisters that grew up on a farm south of Wood Lake, MN. We can’t remember a time where we didn’t have crafting and sewing of some sort as part of our lives. This all started with our mom Marilyn Schmidt. She has always done some sort of craft and is an amazing seamstress and quilter that has been playing with fabric and crafts since she was a child. She once told us that she is a “maker” and isn’t happy unless she is creating something.
With all the crafting, sewing, bag making, and quilting we have done over the years, we have always half joked and dreamed about owning a quilt shoppe. Our dream became a reality as of September 2021, when GracefulMarilyn.com website was launched. Then in October 2021, we opened up our brick-and-mortar store in the former Fabrics Plus location, 307 W Main St, Marshall.
We carry a variety of premium fabrics, patterns, notions, embroidery, and bag making supplies that we hope you love as much as we do. Our shoppe is geared toward mixing traditional and vintage with modern simplicity under one roof. We hope you see that reflected in the products we carry. Our shoppe is a fun and friendly place where makers gather to be inspired and learn a new tip or trick. We “sew” look forward to meeting you!
